To join Thearne Off-Road Model Car Club is a really simple process. You’re already partly the way there because you are already on the website.
First, fill in the form on the Join The Club page and click ‘Continue to Payment’ to go to the checkout, where you can complete your purchase using PayPal or a card — and you’re done!
An account will be created automatically in your name, so there’s no need to sign up separately. Just remember that each email address can only be used once — if you have juniors (16 and under) who are members, they’ll need their own account and a unique email address.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone, all members and visiting drivers are required to follow the rules below:
-
Carry your membership card and BRCA licence at all times.
These prove that you are insured and permitted to race at the track. You must be able to present them if requested by another member or our landlord. -
Access to restricted areas is limited to BRCA licence holders.
Only those with a valid BRCA licence are allowed in the pit lane, on the rostrum, or on the track. -
BRCA membership is mandatory
If you are racing or performing marshalling duties, you must be a member of the BRCA for insurance purposes. -
Internal Combustion (Nitro or Petrol) cars are not allowed.
Anyone found running I.C. cars will no longer be welcome at the club. -
No running of RC cars in the car park.
-
Drive carefully on the access road.
Please help reduce erosion, especially during wet conditions. -
Be mindful when setting up.
Ensure emergency vehicles can access the area by leaving enough space when erecting pit tents, setting up tables, or parking. -
Always lock the rostrum door after use
and return the key to the key safe. Do not share the combination with anyone who is not a member. -
No fires or barbecues
unless you have received prior authorisation from a committee member. -
No alcohol is to be consumed on or around the track.
Anyone found intoxicated will be asked to leave the facility immediately. -
Take your rubbish home.
We do not have disposal facilities, and it is a condition of our lease with the landowner to keep the area clean. -
Abuse of any kind will not be tolerated.
This includes verbal or physical abuse. Offenders will be asked to leave the track immediately and may be permanently banned. We will not hesitate to involve the police if necessary. -
Do not misuse your membership.
Members must not share entry codes or allow non-members to access the track. Misuse may result in a ban from the club.
This facility exists for your enjoyment.
Whether you’re practicing or racing — have fun and stay safe.
See you trackside!
For everyone’s safety and to ensure smooth running during race meetings, Thearne Off-Road Model Car Club operates a one-way system for entering and exiting the rostrum:
-
Drivers waiting for their next race should wait in the warm-up area.
-
Enter the rostrum via the right-hand steps.
-
After finishing your race, exit using the left-hand steps.
Once your race is complete, place your car on the table and proceed directly to your marshalling position.
Thank you for your cooperation.
